Yes! The Center Health meters are some of the most accurate test strip sensors in the world.
The device was cleared by the FDA's latest 2017 blood glucose monitoring guidelines, and has an operating range of 20 mg/dL to 600 mg/dL (1.1 mmol/L to 33.3 mmol/L) with a hematocrit range of 20-70%.
As cited in the Center Health meter's FDA approval, for glucose concentrations less than 75 mg/dL, the Center Health sensor was within 15 mg/dL of the YSI reference value 100% of the time, within 10 mg/dL 98% of the time, and within 5 mg/dL 42% of the time. For concentrations above 75 mg/dL, the Center health meters were within 15% of the reference value 100% of the time, within 10% 95.5% of the time, and within 5% 52% of the time.
How are Center Health sensors able to achieve these results? Unlike normal test strips which only use one set of enzymes to measure blood sugar, the Center Health test strip has 2 sets of enzymes on every test strip. This allows for hematocrit interference to be measured and adjusted for during the 5 second blood sugar test, which enable the Center Health meters to compute extremely accurate results.
Unfortunately we do not yet offer fingerprickers (lancing devices) and lancets as part of Center Health subscriptions.

YES! It's simple: pay $29/mo, and get as many strips as you need. Your first order will include 150 strips, after which we'll automatically detect how many strips per day you use on average and send you more before you run out!
If there's ever a special circumstance and you would like additional strips in advance (for example if you're going to travel), just email us and we'll take care of you!
